Me and Chopper at my grandmas house in Holiday Manor, Naples, Florida in 1993.  That outfit was basically my school uniform, just changed out concert t-shirts.  I always dressed down hiding physically to maintain focus on the goals...school, work, house.

His Band Wonderful Johnson "I want your number."

I Want Your Number was the first single from Tim McGeary and Wonderful Johnson's 2003 release Authentic Memphis Samich. Music produced by John Hampton (Gin Blossoms) and video produced by Jim Cloney.

John was the Drummer for Wonderful Johnson.  He had a lot of good times and traveled with his friends Dave and Charlie to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and to Nashville.  He went out with a bang.  I think it was bottled up from years dealing with my focused "thrifty" approach to life.

He came in with a bang as well.  Born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, he moved to Naples when he was in 1st grade.  Never learned to ride a bike.  He fell once and his mom put him right on a 3 wheel bike.

John Bonhom shared his playing style.  Played the drums since he was 10.

I remember falling asleep listening to him pound the kick drum in the warehouses in the Naples Industry Park when I was 14.

It calmed me to hear him play.  I played the snare drum in 5th grade in Earle Arkansas but couldn't play a full set.  An Earth sign Capricorn he was a grounding force full of love, of course and always with the cow bell!! Loved it!

Born musician with roots in Funk.  He and I were in a band called Groove Machine for about 5 minutes.  It was his idea.  He loved the James Brown Funk and had no problem bringing it.

He learned to do and ask for forgiveness later as he said.  No Regrets! (as went our 401k. wink wink lol)

After our divorce in 2004 he toured with his band and enjoyed his life like a Rock Star (from the 70's)

So Grateful to Tim McGeary for putting his  band  Wonderful Johnson together.

John and I at Dave Cujas & Scott Hogans awesome Halloween Party in Bonita Springs, Florida 2003

We showed up as "Freaks of Nature"...It was fun.  At this party John, like his dad Lupe found a great love in dressing up.

After we were divorced he dressed up in a rented bunny suit to motivate his girlfriend to complete a 5k race.

He was a big Tazman Devil  (filled up 2 urns when he died)

These are some real time impromptu recordings in 2005 with my ex husband John, a drummer, however on this day he was playing with a left handed guitar.

He was not happy with his playing so I told him he would remained unnamed as Guitar-hands.

We recorded this about 6 months after our divorce was final.

He passed away from diabetic complications  on January 6, 2010.

Just thought I would share some of what I do for fun.
This is why I need "me" time.
